Mark O'Grady is one of the founding partners of Lane Castle and has over 25 years experience in the property industry, across a range of specialisms including site acquisition, design, planning, sales & marketing and management. He is a member of the Institute of Directors.
Previous to running Lane Castle, Mark worked as Land Director at the then Berkeley Group/Thames Water joint venture, St James Group, where he was responsible for the acquisition, planning and design of some of London’s premier developments: New River Village in Hornsey North London; New River Head in Islington; Grosvenor Dock in Westminster, amongst others.
Most notably, Mark worked on the development of OneSE8 in Lewisham. The scheme grew significantly through careful planning and negotiation over three years from 497 units to 770 units plus 14,000 sq ft of office space, 8,000 sq ft of restaurants and a gymnasium. The project is one of the most successful residential developments in South East London and acted as a catalyst in the wider regeneration of the region.
More recently Mark has worked on the team who secured planning permission for the redevelopment of the Creekside area of Deptford. The development will be a further catalyst to the evolution of the area.
Mark is keen cyclist: Having recently completed the London to Paris ride, together with fellow riders over £135,000 was raised for charity.
